I can't believe how long it has been since I've "blogged." Time just flies by... it seems like only yesterday the girls turned one, and now they are just about to turn 15-months! So much has happened since our last post.
Emily is our little speed-demon. She is always racing back and forth from the kitchen to the living room -- digging in the toy box, walking around with her walker toys (she loves her stroller). She isn't quite walking on her own, yet... we know that day is coming soon. She pulls up on anything and everything -- she loves to crawl all over mommy and daddy whenever she gets the chance. Lately, she and Abby have taken to crawling all over each other. We have to figure out how to keep the camera handy for those instances, because they are FUN to watch. Emily has the funniest laugh too -- and she absolutely loves to show it off as often as she can. They found her tickle spot at day care -- daddy found it the other night too... She finally has more than two teeth -- about a month ago she got her front top two -- now she is working on two more on top. Someday, she will catch up with her sister.
Abby has sadly given up the butt scoot for actual crawling! We started back at Physical Therapy where she finally learned to crawl! We are now working on getting her walking. She too can walk with her walker toy (she loves the Lion but will pick a fight with Emily over the stroller). Since Abby struggled with her gross motor skills, she was never as mobile as Emily -- but since going to Phyiscal Therapy, Abby had discovered her mobility. She loves rolling around -- on mommy and daddy, on pillows, on her sister. It is fun to see her experience this new side of herself. We always felt back for her as she sat back and watched Emily crawl around... our little butt scooter is finally on her way!!! Abby has 12 teeth and is currently working on 13 & 14. It amazes me how different our girls really are... poor Em and her 3 1/2 teeth... (but you would never know it the way she shovels food in her mouth).
The girls are really at such a cute stage right now. They are discovering so many new things each day. Every night they stand at side of their cribs and "trade" tooth brushes. Each morning, they say good morning by standing up a giggling at each other. Up until last week -- you could tell they knew that they had a "playmate" but they never really "played" together. Last week, while changing Emily, Abby was sitting with her head hanging over Emily's head -- she bent way over with her mouth wide open and stuck her face in Emily's face -- which of course caused Emily to shriek with joy!! They both laughed as Abby repeated this over and over again until it was her turn for a diaper change. After both were changed, they resumed their play on the floor as they began rolling over each other -- Emily rubbed Abby's head, Abby rolled on Emily. It was so fun to watch. Since then, they have been doing this more often...
So it's been great fun with the girls the last few months... every day is a new adventure and we are reminded about how blessed we really are...

WOW, they have changed so much in the last 3 months! They are so adorable, you need to post more often! :)
I totally missed this post a couple of weeks ago. I am so glad to see an update from you and to see how your girls are doing. They're MOBILE! How fun. My girls still aren't (almost 10 mos) and don't seem at all interested. Oh well. Hope you are doing great!
