Both girls reunited on Valentine's Day (Abby on the left - Emily on the right)So, this should have been posted last week, but you will soon understand why it is delayed. Just the quick summary first -- the longer story is in progress and will be posted shortly.
Abigail Grace Olson - born February 5, 2008 at 12:33 pm by c-section - 4lbs 8 oz 18" long.
Emily Michele Olson - born February 5. 2008 at 12:33 pm by c-section - 3lbs 4 oz 15.5" long.
Both are doing well; they are still in the NICU (Special Care Nursery). Abby may come home sometime in the next 3-5 days. Emily still needs time to grow and gain her weight.
As of February 14 both girls are free from all IV's and tubes. They only used breathing assistance for the first 12-20 hours of life. The only wires they are hooked up to now are heart monitors, apnea monitors and oxygen monitors (pulse-ox). It is so nice to see both without so many tubes in them! You can actually see their cute little faces now!

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful girls!!! I am praying for them and hope they are both home soon! Can't wait to hear the whole story!

Welcome to the joys of motherhood! Twice! Happy Birthday to the girls! Congratulations to Geoff for his role of housekeeper, chef, and servant in general (pun intended)! Hats off to Beth for enduring all that it takes to become a wonderful mother! It gets better everyday!
