Two Months Old Today!

I just can't believe it, our girls are two months old. I suppose I can believe it -- looking at them today, they have grown so much. It amazes me that although they are still small in comparison to full-term newborns, they are so big to us. Abby especially since she is at least 8.5 lbs. by now. Emily too is growing by leaps and bounds -- especially when you look back at pictures of her in the hospital.

Here is a list of the milestones each girl has achieved in the last four weeks:

Abby has graduated to size 1 diapers -- she is now too big for the newborn sized ones!

Emily is now in newborn sized clothing -- she still wears preemie pants because her legs are so short (definitely takes after her mom there).

Both girls are close to taking 5 oz. at each feeding!!

Both girls can lift their heads during tummy time. Emily is still a little better at this than Abby is -- according to Geoff, Emily has an advantage since her head is lighter.

Both girls have begun to "bat" at the little rattles that hang from their bouncy seats.

Both girls appear to look with interest at things nearby. Our bouncy seats are the "Aquari.um Series" from Fis.her Pr.ice and the have an "aquarium" that goes over the seat that makes bubbling noises and has bright colored fish inside of it that "kiss." When seated in the seat both girls will stare at the aquarium with great interest.

Oh -- and both girls have perfect lung function. They can scream and cry like true champs. Oh, and their tear ducts work well too...

So now just for a trip down memory lane, let's see how much the girls have changed in two months.

They are so cute and getting so big. I can't believe they are already two months. Isn't "Mommyhood" the best? They were well worth the wait. KJ
